The Rocky Mounts Pitch Fork is the new standard in fork mounted bike carriers. Easy to install and easy to load your bike. The new low profile design is aerodynamic and whisper-quiet at speed. Carry mountain, road, or hybrid bikes, the Pitch Fork fits them all.

The metal head is rock solid and holds bikes securely by the fork. Aluminum construction in both head and tray keeps your trusty steed safe and sound.

The low-profile aluminum tray design fits narrow road bike tires to 2.7" mountain bike tires. The nylon ratchet strap for the rear tire is adjustable and easily secures the skinniest road bike tire, and up to a 2.7” mountain bike tire.

The tubular aluminum tray on the Pitch Fork is 40% stronger than the Lariat, includes an end cap, and is 2" longer (45") to accommodate longer wheelbases found on 29'ers and full suspension bikes.

The Pitch Fork bike carrier fits 90% of bikes with disc brakes. If needed, the Rocky Mounts Disc Brake Adapter provides extra clearance for bulkier disc brakes (sold separately).

The Pitch Fork uses the advanced Rocky Mounts four bar linkage quick release skewer which provides 12mm of travel, more than any other roof rack company, making loading even the burliest suspension forks effortless. One sided smooth, positive adjustment, large knob is easy to turn, 12mm of closure (closest competitor only has 7mm).

The Pitch Fork bicycle fork mount can be locked with Rocky Mounts E-type Lock Cores (sold separately) to secure the bike to the bike rack and bike rack to the crossbar.

If you buy a 1 Lock Core, this one will lock the handle of the Quick Release in place. This also denies access to the mounting bolts, so the rack may not be removed from the car when the Quick Release is closed and locked. If you buy a 2 pack of Lock Cores, you can install the other lock into the head of the Pitch Fork and the bike mount itself will be locked to the car at all times. You will not have to relock the skewer after removing the bike. All the other fork mounts on the market require the user to manually lock the skewer after every use to secure the bike rack to the car.
